OpenX、加速するモバイル市場の成長に対応するため上層部を強化

2013.11.19

OpenX Technologies, Inc. (OpenX), a global leader in digital and mobile advertising technology, today announced the appointment of four mobile executives to senior roles as the Company continues its rapid growth and success within the mobile advertising market. Rob Kramer (general manager, mobile), Jin Yu (vice president, engineering & chief architect), Laura Buchman (vice president, publisher solutions) and Martin Price (senior director, product) join OpenX in newly created roles that will expand the Company’s mobile monetization efforts globally. The new executives bring decades of experience at industry-leading companies developing teams and solutions in mobile advertising. The appointments are effective immediately; all four executives will be based in OpenX’s Los Angeles headquarters.

“The mobile advertising market is still nascent, but the opportunity it presents is immense, and we’re excited to welcome these talented individuals to help us achieve our multiscreen monetization vision,” said John Gentry, president, OpenX. “OpenX’s platform, with its massive scale, infrastructure and advanced monetization technology, gives us the unique ability to maximize publisher yield and enable advertisers to find their audiences at global scale – regardless of screen. We’re looking forward to leveraging the deep domain and operations experience that Rob, Jin, Laura and Martin each bring to serve our customers and significantly grow the OpenX business.”

OpenX provides its full monetization platform – a global ad exchange with Supply Side Platform technology and digital ad serving – to its customers across any connected device. A key benefit of the OpenX platform is that it is much more flexible than traditional, mobile-only platforms. OpenX’s mobile approach includes multiscreen ad serving, mobile monetization, a mediation layer with multiple ad networks, and an in-app SDK. Among OpenX’s mobile customers and partners are leading comScore and mobile first companies.

Rob Kramer, a respected mobile industry veteran, has spent the past decade developing and managing teams at major mobile companies. Prior to joining OpenX, Kramer was at Celtra, an industry leader in rich media mobile ad serving and analytics, where he drove mobile ad monetization strategy and grew the company’s revenue from zero to multimillion-dollars annually. Previously, he developed mobile strategies for VeriSign and m-Qube. He has also contributed to significant industry initiatives through the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and his chairmanship of the MMA’s Sweepstakes & Promotions Best Practices Committee. At OpenX, Kramer will be focused on building the mobile team and executing the Company’s mobile monetization strategies.

Jin Yu comes to OpenX from Portaura, where he was co-founder and chief technology officer, building a location-based big data platform with 95 million social users. Previously, he was at Tiburon, where he built a 50-person engineering team to develop the next-generation, mission-critical enterprise solution for public safety agencies across the country. Early in his career, he spent a number of years at DEC Systems Research Center, where he built the first web browser capable of rendering inline video content. Yu has been a member of various World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) working groups, designing and implementing standards for web and mobile, and has received numerous patents in areas of location-based user data and distributed computing. As vice president of engineering and chief architect at OpenX, Yu will oversee the Company’s mobile development and data strategy.
