Swirl Networks、元DataXu幹部をビジネス開発担当として迎え入れる

2013.11.20

Swirl Networks, Inc., an in-store mobile marketing platform provider, today announced that Adrian Tompsett has joined as vice president of business development. Tompsett was previously vice president of business development at DataXu, a provider of programmatic marketing solutions used by more than 700 global brands and agencies. During his tenure, the company experienced hyper growth, recently being recognized as the fastest growing private company in the advertising and marketing industry by Inc. magazine. As Swirl’s indoor location-based mobile marketing platform transforms the way brands and retailers interact with shoppers in-store, Tompsett’s knowledge and deep experience in digital marketing will play a key role in expanding the Swirl platform’s reach and customer base in the retail, publishing and advertising markets.

“We know that context is king. Consumers want to engage with relevant, personalized and timely content when they are shopping and interacting with their mobile devices,” said Hilmi Ozguc, founder and CEO of Swirl. “Adrian’s experience with bringing groundbreaking technology products to brands and marketers will be a huge strategic asset to Swirl as we continue to broaden our customer base. We are excited to have him on our team.”

Prior to DataXu, Tompsett was executive director of business development at ChoiceStream, a provider of personalization and advertising solutions for online retailers. In this capacity, he led ChoiceStream’s European business expansion. Tompsett also held marketing and sales positions at Dell, YankeeTek Ventures and Putman Associates.

“Swirl is at the forefront of delivering highly targeted content to in-store shoppers using mobile technology that retailers and advertisers have been dreaming about for years,” said Tompsett. “It’s an exciting time to be joining Swirl and I look forward to introducing this exciting new capability to leading brands.”
