PubMatic、Nokia Growth Partnersから1300万ドルを調達

2014.2.7

PubMatic, the programmatic advertising platform company for leading publishers, announced today that Nokia Growth Partners (NGP), a venture capital firm with a distinguished track record in funding mobile and advertising solutions, led a $13 million investment in the company in 2013. The partnership reinforces PubMatic’s position as the programmatic advertising platform across mobile, display and video. Nokia Growth Partners joins investments in PubMatic from August Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Helion Ventures, and Nexus Venture Partners.

PubMatic’s focus on delivering a cross-channel software solution that optimizes the workflow and delivery for the selling and buying of ads across multiple screens using a single platform for control continues the company’s commitment to setting standards in innovation. This commitment aligns PubMatic with the investment strategies of Nokia Growth Partners at a time when PubMatic is experiencing tremendous customer adoption, geographic market expansion and explosive mobile ad technology innovations. PubMatic joins a global portfolio of eight other NGP investments in the ad tech and data fields, including the recently public Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ:FUEL).

“As the industry approaches a tipping point in the adoption of RTB (Real Time Bidding) and programmatic advertising, the investment from Nokia Growth Partners will enhance our direct market access by plugging into the global NGP and Nokia presence,” said Rajeev Goel, Co-Founder and CEO of PubMatic. “NGP has a strong track record in mobile and PubMatic is delighted to join their family of portfolio companies.”

“PubMatic has taken a decided cross-screen strategy that we think sets it apart by uniquely satisfying the needs of mobile and display for publishers,” said John Gardner, Partner at Nokia Growth Partners based in the Silicon Valley. “Their proprietary technology helps reduce friction for publishers managing advertising sales across desktop and mobile.”

“We are excited to work with them in assisting their impressive customer base to make new leaps forward in going mobile,” Gardner continued.

Gardner has led several notable investments in other players in the ad tech industry and PubMatic is already leveraging Nokia Growth Partners’ domain expertise and network. Previously serving in a senior business development role at Nokia, Gardner joined PubMatic’s board of directors as an observer.

PubMatic’s recent addition of video RTB to its existing mobile and display capabilities is rapidly gaining traction, and establishes the company as providing the industry’s only “One Platform” solution for publishers operating across mobile, tablet and display.
